We were in a hurry and ended up in this place for a quick bite. It was kind of entertaining to see the staff dressed as nuns. My boyfriend joked it was the opposite of Hooters. The staff was stern and to the point, which to me, coming from NY, was totally fine. No unnecessary pleasantries, etc.

They were pretty busy and it took some time to get the fajita we order but we enjoyed the tortilla chips and salsa they served as an appetizer.

I would go back if I am in the area.

They don't serve desserts tho. I guess it's too indulging for a holy place like that

Don't bother. The interesting facade drew me in.  The food was mediocre and the waitress disinterested.

We wanted to go somewhere else, but it was closed, and since we were starved, we stopped in. The waitresses were dressed as fat, disagreeable nuns. They kept up their shtick from the time we entered until we left. The restaurant, poorly designed to look like a convent (maybe?) was brightly lit, by long fluorescent tubes on the ceiling. Lots of them, all the better to see the scowls of the nuns (who were not overly busy, since we were the only two in the place.) I think I had the Juan Pablo II, a dish of meat and cheese, roasted onions and peppers, or something. It was actually pretty good. I pray I'll never be back in Monterrey, which is one of the most horrible places I've ever been in my life, but if I had to go back, I'd go back to Las Monjitas, if the other place we wanted to eat at was closed.
